As of May 1st, 2009, we had not received recognition of receipt or response from the President of the United States, three US Senators or the Speaker of the House of Representatives to consider using sail power for commercial purposes as outlined in the 1980 Senate Bill.

Your comments would be appreciated.

I've known Barry for-ever (it seems) and he's always been a visionary as the Maui Sail legacy has demonstrated - the team (I was lucky to be part of in the early days) invented today's sailboard sails through a revolution, led by Barry and his unstoppable creativity and forward thinking. This is a fantastic endeavour; I'm happy to be part of it! Peter Mafteiu Gig Harbor, WA

as a naval architect, designer of sailing vessels, and crew on commercial freighters - both fossil-fueled as well as sail powered -, I know that sailing freighters are truly feasible in a lot of locales. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help this project along! Sincerely Eva

Individually and as a representative for CAEbridge, LLC, a company in simulation technologies with focus in efficient marine design and renewable energy production, I am in full support of your cause. The senate has to realize our future would be better served with money in the hands of green technology developers as opposed to greedy banking executives...
